Season information

Welcome to UAA Basketball! 

Our focus is on teaching kids the great game of basketball and maintaining a focus on each individuals development in the process.

UAA Basketball is a member of Union County Basketball League for our boys divisions and Union County Basketball League for our girls divisions. Both leagues are comprised of local recreational associations located within Union County and Mecklenburg counties.

We offer eight divisions within this league.

• 7U Boys (Ages 6 - 7)

• 9U Boys (Ages 8 - 9)

• 11U Boys  (Ages 10 - 11)

• 13U Boys (Ages 12 - 13)

• 15U Boys (Ages 14 - 15)

• 8U Girls (Ages 6 - 8)

• 10U Girls (Ages 9 - 10)

• 13U Girls (Ages 11 - 13)

Each division is open to players of any skill level and there are no tryouts to make a team. Assessments/draft are conducted each season to help balance teams and provide for a better player experience.

Registration will close on 10/31/2025

Age is determined by the player's age as of August 31st of this year.

If a child turns the next age after August 31st, the parent has the option to allow for their child to play in the current age division or move up to the next age division depending on their preference. Girls are allowed to play in the Boys divisions if they choose too. 

My son/daughter will be trying out for the school team. What should I do? 

- Middle Schoolers can play both School and Rec.  High Schoolers cannot. 

• For middle Schoolers, our suggestions is to register them. The school does not ensure playing time, and every year we receive request to join after the season starts.

• For High Schoolers- Please register them, and if they make the team, we will refund your fee. Registering them will help us prepare.
